Education Export Award from the Union of Service Exporters to BAU
Education Export Award from BAU to Service Exporters Association
The Turkey's 500 Largest Exporters Awards, organized by the Service Exporters Association, were awarded in a ceremony attended by Minister of Trade Prof. Dr. Ömer Bolat. Bahçeşehir University was once again deemed worthy of an award in the Education Export category this year. BAU continues to strengthen its position in this field with its educational model shaped by international student mobility, diversity of academic programs, and global collaborations.
This award stands out as one of the concrete outputs of the university's long-standing approach to internationalization and its goal of making education accessible on a global scale.
Thinking of Education Export in a Multi-Layered Way
Bahçeşehir University does not address education export solely through student admissions. In addition to academic programs, certificate training, professional development programs, research collaborations, and international academic networks are significant parts of this structure. BAU's global campus network ensures that students from different countries can access the educational models offered in Turkey and abroad.
This approach provides a structure that transcends knowledge transfer, enhanced by experience. International students meet a rich university life experience along with cultural interaction and academic content.
From School to University
One of the spatial representations of this vision is BAU CAMPUS. The area where the campus is located has a strong historical relationship with education. Gazi Osman Pasha Yalı was built between 1879 and 1881 and was used as a school during the period of 1915 to 1927. The structure, which continued its educational function during the Republic period, eventually fell into disrepair and remained unused for many years.
In the 2024–2025 period, it was restored by Bahçeşehir University and brought back into education. Today, BAU CAMPUS is positioned as a center that combines the educational memory of the past with a contemporary understanding of the university.
An Experience and Interaction-Oriented Campus Structure
BAU CAMPUS offers a versatile structure designed for academic work as well as student activities, interdisciplinary production areas, and networking with the industry. The campus creates a flexible space that can host student clubs, academic meetings, cultural events, and international organizations.
This structure provides an opportunity for international students to experience education alongside place, city, and culture. The learning process moves beyond the classroom, gaining a more permanent and holistic form.
The Role of Space in Education Export
Bahçeşehir University's success in the field of education export is evaluated in conjunction with the environments where academic content is presented. BAU CAMPUS stands out as one of the significant centers that solidify the university's global vision. Historical continuity, contemporary learning spaces, and international interaction come together on this campus.
This award given by the Service Exporters Association is an important indicator of BAU's long-standing structure established in the field of education and the approach reflected in BAU CAMPUS.
